All you need to know about our August 2024 payment option changes
We’ve made a few small changes to ensure we always provide betPawa Nigeria customers with the fastest deposit and withdrawal options. This page provides transparency on what’s changed and why, as well as offering guidance on finding the best payment method for you.
What changes have been made to betPawa Nigeria’s payment options?
As of Wednesday 21st August 2024, it’s no longer possible to make Bank or USSD deposits. We’ll then be removing the option to make Bank withdrawals from Monday 16th September 2024.
Why are Bank and USSD payments being removed?
As part of our mission to make betting friendly, our focus is on providing the most swift, simple and secure payment options. Only a tiny percentage of you used Bank and USSD payments and, based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback our MTN MoMo and Airtel SmartCash options have received, we want to help those customers transition to our best ever payment experience.
What if I currently use these payments and don’t yet have an MTN or Airtel SIM?
As mentioned, Bank withdrawals will remain available until Monday 16th September 2024, with our Customer Support team able to provide further assistance for a short while after. This should leave you with plenty of time to make the switch to MTN MoMo or Airtel SmartCash. And we’ve created some guides below to make that process as easy as possible.
How do I create an MTN MoMo account?
Once you have an MTN SIM, you can do it via USSD
Dial *671# while using it
Create a 4-digit PIN
Re-enter it for confirmation
How do I create an Airtel SmartCash account?
Once you have an Airtel SIM, you can do it via USSD:
Dial *939#
Follow the registration instructions
Set your PIN and security question
Or using the SmartCash PSB app:
Download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Enter your mobile number
Enter the one-time password you receive
Then follow the steps here to add funds to your SmartCash account and deposit to betPawa
